Dr hab. inż. Jerzy Stopa
Dr Jerzy Stopa is professor at the Drilling Oil and Gas Faculty of AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Cracow, Poland. His research and teaching interests include mathematical and computer modeling in engineering with an emphasis on reservoir simulation, non-conventional gas, management and carbon sequestration.
Dr Stopa earned a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics (1981), Ph.D. (1985) and D.Sc. (Habil.) (1997) in Petroleum Engineering all from AGH.
He is a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Mathematical Society, International Association of Hydrological Sciences and Polish Society of Petroleum Engineers and Technicians.
Dr Stopa is an author of over 230 papers printed in scientific journals or presented at conferences including World Petroleum Congresses and World Gas Conferences. He is also co-author of 4 books and author and principal investigator of more than 50 technical reports for the petroleum industry.
