Piotr Dziadzio Ph.D. graduated from the Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences of the Jagiellonian University in 1992. He was conferred the degree of Ph.D. in geology at Warsaw National Institute of Geology in 1999. In 2001, he completed postgraduate studies in company management at Business School – National Louis University at Nowy Sącz. From 1993 to 2006, he worked for Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG S.A.). From 2006 to 2011, he worked for a company manufacturing drilling machines Narzędzia i Urządzenia Wiertnicze Sp. z o.o. He was the company’s Managing Director. At present, he is still working for the oil industry.

He has authored and co-authored over 20 analyses, geological projects and documentations as well as over 30 articles, scientific papers and popular science publications, which were published in prestigious Polish and foreign magazines. He is a member of Polskie Towarzystwo Geologiczne (Polish Geological Society); in 2001 – 2008, he was a member of the Managing Board of PTG; he is also a member of International Association of Sedimentologists; he has been President of the Gorlice Branch of SITPNiG since 1996, and since 2004, he has been Editor-in-Chief of Oil and Gas News.He is a SITPNiG expert in oil geology.
